I put my ps3 on ebay, just finnished the auction and winning bid was £373.99!!!!!!

Im chuffed to bits. However another guy was bidding (got outbid by £2 in last 10seconds) and he lives 2 mins away from me and was going to collect if he won.

To save the hassle i would rather sell it to him for £3 less. Can i do this or is the winner the final decision?

no you cant

you can offer a second chance if the winner doenst pay.

You could sell it to the guy who lives close to you, but the person who won would probably leave bad feedback.

Upto you really...

Did you put in the listing that you had it advertised elsewhere?

Not to sure as it finished and he won, not really sure where you stand on that tbh.

Anyway how are you Daryl? Not spoken in a while!

So there isnt a way of doing it propperly? Im good thanks mate.

Can't believe it, £379.99 for a 40gb ps3 a few games and bits and pieces! Was only expecting £220 odd.

Winner hasnt paid yet.

Not really because you enter a 'contract' maybe if you send a message to the winner explaining and asking if he wouldn't mind you letting it go to someone who is closer to you, besides there are plenty more ps3's for sale.

Nope.

You've bound into a contract i believe and the winner is the one that should collect it.

unless you can make him pull out. your stuck with him.

Afraid not mate - unless the winner doesn't pay, pays then reverses it later etc etc then as above, you can offer it to the other bloke as a second chance offer.

id just sell it to the other one, tell the winner you dropped it and its not working

Ask the bloke via an email that you have decided you would rather keep it as you have just found out that you have a nephew and he wants a ps3 and his birthday is due so you are going to give it to him.

Or as yates said its now broken.

Then sell it to the person nearer you but not through ebay.

id just sell it to the other one, tell the winner you dropped it and its not working

thats what i was going to say and you could email the other guy and sell it privately and not go thru ebay.

If he hasnt paid can i reject the paypal payment (if and when he sends it) and tell him its no longer for sale?... Looks like its a games trader thats won it, looking on his history and the fact hes a POwer seller all he deals in is ps3 stuff

Tanya-VTR
12th August 2008, 18:36
No theres no way to do it properly, as above email him some bull and sell to the guy close to ya

Still, you're going to get some negative feedback for being a 'time waster' - depends if you can live with it or not.
