if you disconnect the orange wire under the seats, the airbag light will flash and it will NOT pass an mot.
look at the faq section (http://www.sax-p.com/faq/show-article.asp?artid=83) mate.

yes, so re-locate the seatbelt pre-tensioners but be careful not to disconnect them because then they will flash.
its a common fault on saxo's for the airbag light to come on anyway. if its a still light, then it means theres something wrrong with the connection.
a lot of people just ignore it. as you read in that faq, it says you can just tape over it or remove the airbag light. you could just leave it flashing and then get it looked at before your mot is due.
citroen would take the car in to re-set it so you would have to pay for it. even though its a 5 minute job, they need to plug the ecu into their computer to find out what the problem was and then re-set it from there.

that isn't true mate. neither the airbag nor the air-bag light are checked in an mot. my light has been flashin intermittantly (sp) for ages, and with the MOT due on friday i popped into the garage to check if it would fail, and the guy who does my car (who has owned his own garage for 15 years and is also a lecturer in vehicle mechanics and mot testing) told me the only light on the dash which is checked is the ABS light. so i'm not bothering fixing it, as i have an aftermarket non-airbag steering wheel going on anyway. smileys/smiley4.gif

so if your car was involved in an accident and the airbag failed to operate and the police found out that it had passed an mot with that fault, then the mot company cannot be held liable!?!

nope, beacause it isn't in the MOT rules and regulations, therefore isn't required to be tested.

ummm i see. same rule applies to tinted windows. even though the police can pull you over and fine you for having your front side windows tinted, its not something mot testing stations would pick up.

unbolt the tensioner from the origional seat, plug it back in and cable tie the pre tensioner to the under side of the seat, problem solved.

im running harnesses and origional seat belts. All you need to do in your situation it cable tie the origional tensioner out of the way under the seat, this will stop the bulb flashing and is a lot easier than fannying around taking the dash pod out to get to the bulb

my furio has that flashing light and it went through an MOT
i dont think you have to have an airbag fitted by law yet do you?
to get the little light reset you go to Citroen and they charge you around £90 just for the privialage of not having a flashing light??
i say flash on baby, flash on! lol
