tbh mate.
with this ressesion talk/credit crunch talk your better off at college as no one is really looking to employ, stay get fully qualifed and start on your own.
in the mean time you can claim ema and stuff, also do odd jobs at the weekends/weeknights

I know that feeling.
None of the Garages round here want to take me on as an aprentice :wall::wall:.
Tryed all the Supermarkets round here:
Tesco
Asda
Morrisons
None of them want me, so had an interview for a fulltime position at a Shell Petrol Station just down the road in Kilmarnock yesterday, and just waiting to hear back.
Meanwhile I'm getting £47.50 a week from the Job centre.

That sucks, I tried to line up an apprenticeship aswell no-one seems to be taking people on atm. Especially as im a little older now. Perhaps uni & masses of debt is the best option
May aswell get as much money from the gov as you can while you can!

I'm a student, sponging is my way of life ;)
Like a twisted modern day robin hood, steal from the rich, give to myself.
Works for me.

There isnt just one sponger out there though, there are tons and tons of them, and they take our money while they sit at home and do nothing. Im not as bothered about students as they will go out to work in the end, they are just working towards going out into the real world.
Id stay at college until you are fully qualified and just get an evening/weekend job for the moment. Dont your college provide you with a list of people that do apprenticeships? The college in colchester does that with some courses, try talking to them maybe? That will get you out there and you will still be working towards a qualifitcation :)

Thats different, you're learning in order to get a job in the future, to pay your way.
......Sponging from the government when you dont have too is just unfair and gash.

tbh when i was jobless i got classed a sponger,i felt like smacking people that said it as i was genuinely looking for work and looking into more short term courses at college, ive become certified in mma welding and pat testing in the space of a year, which opened up alot of opportunities for me
Karl

lol, I got no problem with people who are genuinely looking for a job.
Andi is fine if he is looking for a job,
I dont mind students either,
its what mrk1 meantioned "Get money from the gvt", thats whats wrong.
