Cigarette Lighter Does Not Work

I just purchased a 2000 1.1i with an inoperative cigarette lighter. I checked the fuse, cleaned the lighter cylinder and the clamp from the back side of the dash is seated properly...any advice?

just try replacing it mate they will be dirt cheap from a scrappy!

they seem to have a habit of breaking. as said, get a replacement from a scrappy if the fuse is working - there's some plastic lugs inside which snap off a bit too easily.
