Is there a fluid out there that cleans through the power steering pump? The noise its making is driving me up the wall atm but it does only do it mainly when its cold...
Or could this be maybe the fluid level is low?
What colour should the fluid be when you look into the resovoir?
Is there a set time you need to change the fliud (i.e 60k)?
Cheers guys

not sure bout cleaning it mate, but power steering always makes a horrible noise when it's low. top it up and see if there is any leaks.

are you supposed to open it or will it let air into the system?

Ben there will be a max line somewhere on the resevoir. The fluid is also not necesarily a reddy/pink colour, it can also be green, just make sure its not black. There will be a time it has to be changed, might say in your service book

If its darker than green, like a nealy black sort of colour it will probably need changing. Try ringning up a citroen garage and finding out what they use?? Will give you a definite answer.
