bought some smoked jewels off ebay yesterday
got a message today

'sorry we've ran out of these. We'll have more in stock on the 22nd and we'll send some out then. Let me know if you would like a refund'

wtf? why would you have them for sale on ebay if theres none left

thing is i've just searched again on ebay and it shows that the same business has an auction for them, saying theres 5 available?

annoyed me a bit tbh :(

Ive had someone off there, after having a nice bidding battle with someone, after 3 days of winning the auction saying "sorry, ive already sold the item a few days ago". Complete knob imo.

some places are shops, so they will put say... 10 on ebay, because they have 10 in stock, then someone comes into the shop and buys a pair... 1 less

that doesnt help cos they wont be selling them if they're on their car

agreed with that, but the auction i bought them from said they had 2 left, and the other one said 5

so i doubt they sold 7 before they could update the shop online

sounds like the same ones i bought off Ebay, got an email saying not in stock for 3 weeks, decided to wait rather than get refund and was glad i did as they are really worth the wait

i also bought some gear linkages on thursday, but i needed them here for 2morrow

so before i bought them i messaged them and asked if they would arrive in time
and they assured me they would

got a message this morning saying hes been away for the weekend and hasnt sent them yet

As smiith said - likely if it's a shop, they would of had 10 available to start with but people may come in etc.

I'm guessing they are not needed straight away otherwise you would of bought them from a shop.

If that is the case then who cares if you have to wait a week or two. I used to work for an internet company and it done my tits in when people tried to complain if they were going to be a bit late. Especially if we e-mailed them straight away to let them know.
