For the lad to come and pick my car up :(
Cant believe he said that he would come between half 9 and 10, specialy when i was up all night with peej and jacko playing COD4
Gonna be a sad sight seeing her drive down the road in another mans hands :n:
oh well, lets hope he treats her well, and i know its staying in the North East.

£950 i got for it, which isnt bad considering i payed £1200 just over a year ago, and iv put 17k on her
and iv lost about £50 total in mods that i bought then took off before the car sale and sold seperately.
Rather want a 106 quicksilver, or a Mk1 Clio, cant decide, because the clio's are oldskool cool and were my 1st car, and easy to mod, and cheap to buy...
But the 106 looks better, but costs over double to buy a decent one over a clio, but then again, i know my way around everything to do work myself...

Those clio's are getting on a bit now.
I could see you in a nice cinquecento. ;)

queersilvers are pugs though, so people seem to think they are worth more than saxos lol!
ive seen people pay over the odds for the queersilver, so hunt wisely if getting on for a bargain.

2 grand for a 51+ plate with about 70k, not too bad if i stick to them guidelines.
or i did have thoughts of a 306 HDi, these 11 points make insurance a toughy though :P

Whats insurance like on the HDi?
Ryan
16th August 2008, 08:58
2 grand for a 70k 1.4.
can pick up a furio on that milage for alot less than that which is 90% the same car lol.
mk1 clios can be interesting long term, a few 172 converted ones rock :P
smiith
16th August 2008, 09:00
yeh but ryan, we all know mk2 saxo's are for girls :P hard to find low milage mk1's now :(
insurance group 5 the HDi's so the same as a quicky i think :) and then front mounted intercooler :panic: could be fun
Luke

I love the power delivery in mine.

Yeah it will do.
Remap on mine would take me from 110bhp to 140bhp.
So about 120-130 on the 306?

100k is nothing mate.
On the Peugeot forums there is car withs 300k plus on and the odd 400k on them.

I'm impressed by BMW's new diesels.
The new alpina 3 series cost less than a 330d, goes 150mph and they reckon you have a combined cycle of 50mpg!!!!

I still believe diesel will be the way forward in years to come.
People may think a 1.6HDI is slow, but until they have driven it you don't know. Very quick, smooth delivery and pulls well.

I went out in a friends 307 hdi last week. Tbh i wasn't really that impressed with the speed but the car itself was quite pleasant. They did scrimp abit on some things though. Using the same CD player/ Air-con unit and Display as the old 206. Suppose it saved costs and does the job though.

What engine was it?
You'll find they use parts on most manufacturers?

Yeah, mine has a sticker too.
A lot of people say the 136bhp model is more like a 90bhp model from what I have heard. You need a go in 1.6 ;)
