Crappy Wheel Bearings?

My Front wheel bearing keep going on my '99 VTR about every 5 months. I am told this is cos i have put "Wider" alloys on my car than the standard VTR. Does anybody else have this problem or is it just going to be my alloys?

dont think anyone else has the same problem to be honest mate, well at least ive not heard about it before.

my brother had more or less the same problem,he had to get a new hub.should not be your alloys mate

ive heard of wider alloys shortening the life of wheel bearings, but not to last only for 5 months!!! wouldnt of thought it was your wheels fucking them up that quick.

have you changed your driveshafts recently? if so you could have the wrong ones on, or your not buying citroen bearings as other makes tend to be crap, also whos fitting them cos if they dont put them in right then they break fast.

A garage is fittin them. its the one i always use. He seems a nice guy and says they are citroen ones. I'll have to buy them from shitroen to make sure next time.
