car failed mot on emission so need to borrow a CAT for the mot as mine was fucked! anyone near southampton able to let me borrow one and drop off after the mot when supersprint is back on?

How do you know its the CAT? Post up your emissions failure result. ;) The CO, HC and Lambda.. for both fast idles and the natural idle.

You didnt really think a De-Cat pipe would get a pass did you?

didnt have a decat pipe on as i new it wouldnt pass, the cat flange has broken away a bit and is filled with exhaust putty, i thought this you were banned anyway

cat is under car after manifold, been quoted £60 for a new one by gsf and £80 for a secondhand one by silverlake so think gsf will be the way forward depending on what my mechanic says the results are like

Mate, Silverlake are a rip off. If you pop down to where I am just before 3, I can take you somewhere where you get parts cheap. There are 2 VTRs which I think have cats ready for the plucking.

right spoke to garage had 2 tyres put on just replacing the wheel bearing now and have ordered a new cat so hopefully will get a re-test this afternoon and all will be good and then i will have a new cat for MOT purpose every year as car will be de-datted straight after

G&R Harris in Nutbourne, they got pretty much anything you need. Cheap, too.
