crashed into the back off

somone has hit the back off my mum last night, mum was driving a 1.1 sx and the other girl a 206.
Visually the saxo has a few scrathers nothing major.
but i had a look underneath and the rear towing eye has taken a fair old smack and its ripped it away from the chassis point and put a very minor crease in the rear cross-member.
its only down on the insurance as being worth £600 will this damage be enough to write it off?

i know is enough to fail an mot on so thats a deffinate yes then?

Sure it is, if it needs re-jigging it's going to cost quite abit. More than the write off amount anyway.
