I've had my lil saxo for a while now and after looking through the site, getting a few ideas from people i got well under way with modding the little furio. In no perticular order here's the pics of different things i've done; Blacked rear badges(soon to be white), rear wiper removed(not pictured yet), lowered 40mm all round which i did at work with help from a mate from over the road, vts wheels sprayed gloss white(by me!), vts interior, raceland induction kit, modded xsara vts 285mm drilled n grooved discs with ebc greenstuff pads, flat wipers, 206 gti aerial, streemline carbonfibre mirror caps, vts crossed out with furio next to it side badges, vtr/s gear knob and probably some more things i haven't listed but i'll update it later on when my new engine and axle go in, so..... ther you go lol.

little update which i'm sad to announce, went to put on my 205 wheels and hit 2 problems, (should have researched this before hand lol)
1. buldging 50 profile tyres hit the inner chassis on the rear!
2. vtr/s alloy wheel bolts dont fit these wheels
you can imagine how gutted i was scrabbling around in the dark trying to fit my finished product when i discover all this, plus side to that day was a fresh m.o.t. :y:

Can't belive it's taken me this long to post this bit but hey here it is, the week after my birthday back in september i booked off from work destined for my engine change. The little furio lump didn't quite meet the standards of jake_p's vtr and couldn't touch daz_04_rt's vts. Sad face behind my steering wheel even though it took me happily to fcs and back.
So i set about the conversion. Being a mechanic for renault i had the know how of how the french put things together, foooooook wot a task it was.
Monday: Went and bought the essentials, New cambelt, New driveshaft oil seals, fully synthetic gearbox oil, coolant, engine oil and oil filter. That evening, fitted the cambelt and degreased the engine so it was sparkling ready to go in.
Tuesday: Put the car on axle stands, removed the front end, removed the engine and box, removed the engine bay wiring, fitted new wiring, fitted new engine and box.
Wednesday: Gutted the inside, seats, dash, carpet everything out, removed old wiring, in with the new.
Thursday: Refitted interior, refitted front end, oil filter on, oil in, coolant in, ran it up bled the system and encountered my first problem (at 9:30pm mind) the cooling fan wouldn't cut in! Big UH OH!! after arsin about for an hour i retired thinking that i might have to change it back to the furio lump, bad times.
Friday: Woke up feeling drained as fooook, went back up to the car and somehow had a moment of madness and figured it out, i was running my vtr engine with a furio radiator, the switch in the radiator was what turned it on with the 1.4 single pin ecu, on the three pin vtr ecu the ecu switches it. Used the wiring for the vtr radiator fan i chopped it into the furio radiator fan and joined in the earth from the switch, 10 mins later was that lovely noise of the cooling fan running, it felt like christmas at 5 years old. A quick trip into work to show my accomplishment and i got comments like,'yea give it a week and it won't run but here i am today, nearly 2 months on and 3,000 miles clocked up on the vtr lump and not a single problem, the fresh m.o.t. makes it all worth while and the fact that i did it all myself on my drive is very satisfying but never again!!!! lol pics to follow

Well it's been ages since i was last on here, thought i better give an update, the furio is now sold, but i have bought another saxo, a Mk1 vtr with an awsome private plate, A12 VTR, my new project that i pick up next weekend for the bargain price of £600. Anyway here's a few pics of how the lil red mk2 looked before she left my hands

lol would have mate, bit same-ee if you ask me, been done way too much, plus they were just a cheap set of 205 wheels so i wacked the awsome yoko tyres on em n did that wacky paint job, proper marmite effect but the next sax is gonna be a lil different again
