hi guys - anyone help ?

my car went in for a service today (been off the road for a week). had the internal cv gaitor done on the passenger side. think it was near the gearbox & the driveshaft had to be stripped down.

when i was driving it home it was running very smoothly (as it should after an expensive service). BUT there's a clicking noise when i engage gears. doesn't happen all the time & isn't always on the same gear.

anyone got any clues ? gonna see what it runs like tomorrow & may take it back as it didn't make this noise before the service

I'm not very technical but mine starting making a grinding noise going from 4th to 5th, then eventually when i was driving along in 5th. It turned out i had no gear box oil. its worth checking it, they might not of topped it up again

ran it down there last night & he put it over the pit and showed me what it was. just the clutch uptake making the noise. you could see the part moving & hear the noise coming from it.

nothing to worry about & was prob there before my service but i didn't realise. if it gets worse or anything goes wrong i'll take it back to them.
