Thats not even everything as I missed loads of nuts, bolts, seals and assume the engine has its basic internals etc.... add to that around £700 for the surcharges on various items and you'll agree £2k is a cheap budget lol.

nearly 4 grand for the engine!?!?!?!!? just shows how much of a markup there is on parts

Wow... thats a bit ott on prices tbh, Sh*troen need to be told where to stand. Annoys me the markup on those prices...

handbrake cable being the cheapest item at £8?

You've lost me there... I was implying that if they were quality parts they would use universally recognised names like in the manual. Motorfactors don't list ECU's as "Calculators"... it was a joke

I remember back when I was told for the first time how much a gearbox cost new. I almost shat myself, you can get em for about £100 ffs.
