Could be when the silvertop engine was introduced, but don't quote me on that.

The engine power didn't change until 2001/2002, when it became 98bhp. Think most of it is pretty much the same to be honest!

i dont think it matters what year it is for the spoiler, apart from the obvious mk1/mk2 spoilers. some just dont have them (for some unknown reason????)

Something to do with the cam type, i think theres a roller and non roller, or something along those lines. Also they have stronger valve springs iirc.
Has always been said theyre better to tune, they are basicly detuned rallye engines.

They changed the engine design in around 2001 if I remember correctly... :S
Different inlet manifold & inlet port spacing, different exhaust bits...

P reg = grey interior trim and plain grey door cards, grey dials and squarish grille
S reg = bus seat interior, blue dials, smiley grille
Both have the single plug blacktop 90bhp engine with manually adjustable tappets
The engine didn't change until 1999 so some of the VERY late S reg saxo may have the silver top engine but still only produce 90bhp
