View Full Version : sprayed rocker covers.now looks mint *updated picture*

as influenced by yates i decided to use what i had under the engine to clean it up rather then spend loads on chrome covers again,decided to spray the rocker covers and get a new badge,also used silicone sray to shine up all the standard covers.

heres the results

looks ace what was the make of the pray you used and can you get it in black? and have it come out with that sort of finish?

that did say metalic black on the can but like it better like that now.it is halfords own met black metal heat resistant paint.
land animal,ive only got a vts,when it said in my profile edit about cars it says cars/cars owned so put a couple of previous cars too

want a 4-1 manifold soon but in mean time i want to spray the manifold cover but not sure wether to do it the metalic grey like the rocker cover or the silver?what you think?

fergie im not 100% on size as was on car when brought it but think they are 76mm.

looks sweet i wouldnt do the heat cover on the manifold wont last long under that kind of heat just wait till u get a 4-2-1

also looks like uve done a good job on the covers but looks to me in pictures u have used mattalic paint with out laquer ? u should really use sum laquer to give it that nice shine

ashley,yeah im guna get a 4-1 manifold but probably wont be for a while so just going to spray it for now as will look better,have used the spray before and is very hard wearing under high temp and yeah may laquer them but the finish is good up close.

decided to spray the manifold cover the same grey as rocker covers and also did the dipstick in the silver.
