yes unless there is signs in certain departments saying you cant.

My mum was allowed hers, she was in for cancer treatment, dont know if the department/ward makes a difference

apparently yes you can now apart from the high dependancy units and most childrens units

Depends on the department cause they all have different equipment and mobiles can be highly dangerous to some

Yeah depends on departments.

Maternity ward is a no, but up in the actual ward it's fine. Seems to be where there is machines around etc.

some places of the hospitals you can, some you cant.

when i was there with my broken jaw, they didnt mind when i was in my bed on the phone

The non use of mobiles in hospitals is a scam imo so you have to use the payphone so that the hospital makes money out of it, i cant see how a mobile can mess with a machine unless that machine has anything to do with radio waves.

Like already mentioned, there is signs around telling you where you can use it, if in doubt go to a stairwell as you defo can use your phone in there as there is a sign on every level telling you you can;)
