I was gonna get a Starlet Turbo as my next car, however I have changed my mind and I think I'm gonna go for a Mk4 Astra 1.8 16v SXi or SRi.

Anyone had any experience of them? I've read some reviews and they sounds nice to me

I want a Glanza, a decent one will set me back £4k. Too much

common, boring, not very fun to drive

but.. theyre not built for performance and are good runners, good economy, cheapish insurance built well etc etc

Fairly pacey matey, 1.8 does 0-60 in 8.5 sec. Thats alot faster than my Furio. I'm not going for insane speeds, just something better than mine currently

PM'ed.

Gaylord.

There's another one I've seen tootling around in West Sussex, £2,500... it's an old-skool one though. Personally I think it's fugly, got a number for you if you want it.

astra: too common.
Glanza: rare, fast, looks mean, very tuneable.

a decent 1.8 sri astra will cost you more then that, and probs still have high miles. :homme:

astras are shite, boring to drive, slow and just crap. Builds good but i wouldnt have one.

Astra 1.6 SXI's are pretty nice imo and good on fuel comsumption!

Also can you get them looking very nice and subtle with doing very little to them.

Not my kettle of fish, Astras can be made to look good for next to nothing, that one I've posted is a prime example
