Strange problem on a 1.0 Saxo - starts fine when cold, runs fine. When starting from hot, starts OK without touching the accelerator but cuts out when I accelerate. If i wait for a minute or two without touching the accelerator things settle down and everything works fine again. It's as if when it first starts when hot it thinks it's cold and gives it too much choke for a while. Had a search through these formums and thought it might be the Lambda sensor so put a new one in but problem still there.
Plugs look OK (Bosch Super R6 587 - anyone know if this is the right plug, and what the gap should be?).
Any ideas anyone?
Thanks

Thanks Mas, I've done lots of searches which is why I changed the Lambda sensor and checked the plugs, but nothing seems to describe the same problem.

Modern day spark plugs come pre-gapped so need to worry about the plug gap,the haynes book says blocked air filter, fuel injection fault or low cylinder compression.Do the cheap things 1st like change the air filter, then see how it is if no better take it for a compression test.

Can you not pick up a compression test unit fairly cheap from Halfords etc? You only got to take plugs out and sure that'd be cheaper than paying someone to do it. Plus you get to keep the gadget to add to all the other stuff you never use in the garage.
