How do you overcome a fear of heights?
I am fine in a plane, but I really get nervous and eventually feel sick when I am near or in a tall building.
I had to go up to the 24th floor of a block of flats in London to deliver a package to someone, and when I was in the lift, I practically had a panic attack lol! When I got upto the 24th floor, I was fine until I glanced over the direction of the window, then became nervous again.
Then I had to get back down to the ground floor - so I went to the stairwell and wne to the "middle" if you get me, and then had a lock up. I wanted to take a pic so I stood back as far as I can moved my phone over the gap and took this:

But managed to make it down ok keeping my distance from the stair well, got back out to the van, and had a parking ticket on it lol!!!
Any tips for fear of heights?

i'm not a fan of heights, i'll deal with them but they get me all iffy. i've been on rollercoasters that are several hundred feet up, been on a plane at least 70times, doesn't bother me at all, yet steep stairs or looking over a multistory scare me to death

Im not scared of hights but if u put me near an edge of something really high i will shit myself lol.
And tbh if i was asked to jump from a plane i wouldnt be scared of how high i was it would be more doubting my safety equipment.. (cant spell)
Go to centre parks and try the high ropes to overcome it lol.
(i wimped out)

It was actually not far from Peckham lol! Wandsworth, C. London.
I had one in another block, on the 12th floor after that!
And yes, UPS pay the parking tickets!
WTF are double red lines and single red lines on the road?!?!?!

Really do hate heights, in a plane im fine, being exposed to open spaces so many ft high petrifys me..
Remember going to Lincoln castle and walked on the wall bit up the towers, omgs never been so scared in my life, lost all use of my body and my mate had to kind of prise my hand of the rail! Because it was on a hill aswell.. it was a very long drop down!
Used to have a reocurring dream when I was younger that I was in a glass lift on the outside of a skyscraper......... shivers..

In a Plane I'm fine but like Mike looking down from that height would make me nervous.
Can't even go up ladders, as I just freeze.
When I lived down south and use to go to the Cascades shopping center in Portsmouth I couldn't look down from the top level wher you wait for a lift, nor could I look up, its just one of theese things I suffer with.
I've been up the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth tons of times and always feel fine.
Look up at the tower from underneath my knees just go like jelly, samwe if I look up at the tower from the first floor at Gunwharf Quays my knees just give in.
But I don't even know where I got the fear from.

Hate heights!!
My gran stays on the 9th floor in some random stupidly high flats. When i used to go and visit it used to feel like the floor was falling away from me. Had to run across the corridor to her door.
She used to keep trying to get me out on the balcony to look at the view but it always felt like the barrier was moving out the way. So horrible :(
Its ok if you're 'safe' (in the flat/plane etc) but not leaning over... * shivers *

I don't mind heights, never have until recently when I started climbing mountains and I've realised that I absolutely hate them in that environment! I'll stand at the top of a tall building looking over the side and be fine but I'll be shit scared walking on a ridge on a mountain! Weird.
