There's not really a huge amount of modding you can do without any money.

Personally i'd consider looking around the ford range for a nice set of alloys. Puma racing ones are nice, as are focus st170 wheels. They would look pretty sweet. If not maybe some old school. saph cossie's or soft spokes.

Will always look better and handlie better with a good suspension set up although just lowering on springs can't hurt.

You could upgrade the brakes by adding some rear discs. Believe puma build do a kit.

Rear bumper can be changed with a mk5 zetec-s item which would make it look a touch more sporty. Not sure if the front bumper matches the grill but could be a mod to look at.

Engine conversions can be done pretty easily. A good friend of mine is running a mk4 with a 1.7 puma lump in. It's pretty nippy :)

That's cool. You'd be best to get onto websites like zsoc and rsowners club. Although you don't own a performance model you should be able to get ideas :)

Escort Cossy wheels always look good on a Mk4. MS Designs do a nice and suble kit with front and rear splitters and side skirts. try http://www.espdesign.co.uk for a few ideas

Thats fair enough, but tbh you would have alot more luck going to a ford forum for the help and saxp for the people :)
