View Full Version : Raceland enclosed filter *VTS* need pics

Tried fitting my Raceland this morning with no luck. Does anyone have any pics of theres fitted to give me an idea of how it fits or what parts need moving to make it fit?
Iv been searching but can ony find them fitted to VTRs

Shit! its a Raceland enclosed filter :y: seems to be stopped by to parts at the front of the engine

So what do i do with that? i really have no clue when it comes to engine parts :zainy:

Edit: just found this
strictly speaking its not an exhaust gas recirculation valve. It does recirculate exhaust into the hed it blows fresh air in for about 30 seconds at start up. No its not needed but isnt going to do anything if you remove it

some people claim it gives better response by removing it, you can buy the blanking plate off a guy on here... see the for sale thread.

Its adviseable to attach the actual filter housing to the engine rather than the front slam panel.

Under heavy acceleration it could force the housing to crack and snap from its mounts if attached to the slam panel.
