Most of the threads in this forum are about "higher risk" people - 17, mods, etc. I know there are some companies that are really good for you guys, but what about low risk oldies like me?

I'm 23, 6 years' licence, 6 years' NCB, no points or claims ever, and I live in Cambridge, which is possibly the safest place in the country. My VTS isn't modded save a new head unit and front speakers. I want fully comp and protected no claims.

What are the recommendations for cheap insurance? The usual specialists / mainstream insurers / someone else? Best quote I've got is £410 from Privilege, anyone else in my position done better? I'll try adrian flux, chris knott etc in the morning when they open.

Cheers

I've been on the internet all evening mate! And tbh 410 isn't bad, I was just wondering if there were any specialists who would do a good deal for a high risk car but a "low" risk driver - somewhere that doesn't show up in the first 3 pages of Google lol.

I've found that once you've got somewhere cheap, ringing can actually be better, because you can pull the old "someone quoted me 50 quid less" trick and see if they bite :)
