Rant WOOO
ok.....this weekend i went about swopping my broken engine out for a new fixed one in my MK4 Astra Sport... my god im handy with a spanner but this just got me anoyed...

Drained coolent/oil, unplugged everything, unscrewed exhause pipe to the Cat, took off EVERY hose (my god them metal clips are KILLER) if there is a tool for these LET ME KNOW!! lol

BUT.... there is one killer pipe thingy that i cant get off... the clutch pipe...
But im now leaving the gearbox etc in and i wont need to get this off

So just them damn pipes took my all day with them freekin clips and now my dads going away and i cant continue....

Also to make things abit stranger... i thought the engine had seized... but then i put it in gear pushed the car, and stuff moved, then i thought the Cam belt had gone, but now i took the plastic cover off, and it looks fine... WTF can be wrong with my old engine then?!?! lmao
sooo confused....
still want to change the engine tho as this one has ALOT less miles on it and looks alot cleaner haha

Anyone whos done this before in manchester want to come help me for abit of cash :-) heh

linkage/radiator/all plumming pipes/ecu plug up near windscreen on drivers side should be blue or yellow/disconnect battery/unbolt gearbox mount/engine mount/throttle cable/clutch cable and you should be ready to drop it out mate,i could have swopped your engine in 8hours possibly less!

solo engine swap, never fun!

even if you get just some odd hands to hold things for you while you do the work!
