Nah not had it RR'd again yet, not running very well atm, needs tweaking, idles all over the place, so got 4 more sensors to replace, if they dont work then il just RR it anyway, be interesting to find out what its producing now!

er i had use of all 6 gears :) couse the old one broke :(:(

But i find them slightly closer, and 5th works well on my engine and pulls alot better thn the old box :)

i think u can get second hand ones for like £150 but i got a reconditioned one fitted for £535.

OMFG what a difference the engine mounts make, one of the best mods ive done, not ideal for everyday driving, the vibrations on start up and low revs is immense and the engine whines :p.

power steering is better than its ever been aswell :)

Already sprayed the floor in the back, but inside the rear quarters need doing, slowley but surely!

The plan was to put a VTS engine in last month, however the lad i was getting it off, still has it in his car, and no longer has a company vehicle, = raking in the miles.

So ive re-though and got a new plan and saw some sense. No point putting a better engine in a bucket chassis, so im sorting the shell and chassis out, then dropping a bigger lump in next year!

Well theres a old airfield near me, and ive raced a fair few VTR's mk1's and 2's and managed to beat them all :p One of the mk2's had a 4,2,1 enclosed, and exhaust aswell! (thats the boy racer in me)

Can no longer go to the airfield though, complatley fenced off!

Yep, i am inspired a bit, he told me a while back his westie could keep up with VTR's on the track, but tbh id be sure he was pushing them round, unless the R's had decent mods!

think 95 is cat, and de-cat is 100.

RUSTY!!!!!

Tyres been catching on the offside arch lining and arch, so i took the wheel off to have a look, and its kinda rusty! So i got my hammer out and hit the rust for a bit. Then i got tired n used the wire brush on it for a bit, pulled the arch lining off, and put the wheel back on, tadaaa!!! no more squeeling.

£60 a side to have it welded up, will have that done soon.

nah theyre the clubman ones, dont have the twisty catch thing, just like a normal seat buckle instead. didnt know deamon tweaks sold them, but theyre even more on there :panic:

I got the same rust problem on my vts. I need to get it fixed oneday i always believed it would cost a lot more than £60 to fix.

Yeh i didnt have a clue how much to expect, i got an OK deal with a local garage. So it would be £120 both sides, which aint bad! i need to get that done soon, early next year anyway!

as above!

Just fitted it! the stereo blanker was a snug fit, however the glovebox one, coulda done with a very slight trim. Kinda a bowing a little bit, so i doubt the glue will do its job at the sides (aralditeed it) So i might get the drill out on sunday and use the original glovebox torq holes to screw the carbon down.

Gonna go get some more power steering fluid now, as i think iv sealed the hole in the pump with this chemicle sealent paste stuff. Top notch!

thanks, yeh they are hell of a lot lighter, considering its just a sheet compared to the fabric, and all the useless plastic of the standard door card. You dont really tell the difference when youve had it for a while but when i get in another saxo, and close their doors i always think i havnt shut it proper!

Good plans mate, mine was stripped out once but being a daily driver it needed a full interior and i wouldnt strip my car again if i used it every day. Now im taking ideas from the euro and "cleaned" scene. and going from there but keeping handling top notch. hope your plans go well :D

Full interior (almost!)

Just need one drivers door cards, and a load of random nuts, bolts and clips and seatbelts for the rear!

First time its had VT* rear seats and cards in. I bought the seats last year, but when i took the old one out, i loved it! so the VTS ones never got fitted. Finally theyre in lol.

Ready to be sold on saturday :(

Here we go again...

OK so the plans have continued now, no longer selling the car, instead im just doing a few bits and bobs to make it sound! Basically the engine is on 120k still going strong, so im saving up for a vtr engine, which is pocket money these days. Your probabaly thinking why not 16v it, basic reason is, im moving to spain and wont be able to cope with the initial engine cost and the running costs!

So here we go, heres the plans!

New wishbones and uprated mounts.
VTR rear beam
New tyres
Speakers at least!
wireing to engine coolant temp sensor sorted as its split :(
and air conditioning unit, necesity in spain lol

Then a new engine a few weeks before i go to spain! With the saxo ;) Il be repping Saxp from spain haha :p
