toyota reliability....
good looking jap compact...
Turbo...
faster/similar as a VTS...

Insurance will pretty much rape you if its a Turbo i guess...

Mostly imports so sites cant find the reg as they are just given one when they are imported.

Only the glanza's are mega money can get a starlet older shap for 2k

Insurance will be high though as imports

the only way that u will get a quote on a glanza is to phone up the companies as most dont list them. i know as i looked at a glanza before i opted for the mr2. the mr2 was only an extra £80 or so over the glanza to insure

gozzy-vtr

cant actually get the car recognised

tbh at your age you will get hammered for insurance on a turbo, depends how deep your pockets are and your postcode etc aswel

Huh...I've been insured with Bell since i was 18....I have had 4 cars with them and EVERY ONE has been an import....2 x MR2 Turbo's, one non turbo MR2 (was still an import) and a silvia.

The first MR2 cost me £1300 with no no claims and 1 years experience @ 18. TPFT only obviously, FC was over £2k, and that was getting close to what i aid for the car, thus pointless.

My mate had one and he's poor. Spends all his money on drugs and he still managed to afford the insurance.

Cousin had a GTT, insured it with Quinn just as a 1.3 Starlet and never had any problems, even when the police would check the insurance...wouldnt do it myself but still.

there nice cars, the missus didnt...so yeah birds dont like em lol.

remember if your get them, check for damage carefully.

in the import certs, they should have a category rating (correct me if im wrong) the higher the grade, the better the quality.

i test drove one, the clutch was on its way...but sounded rather tasty i guess, although i did the noob mistake and put the wipers on instead of indicating lol.

They have - 1st, 2nd gear limited turbo, 112/116mph limiter, your also need a FCD if you plan on doing some mods powerwise (FCD - fuel cut defence)...although ideally aftermarket management would be the better option.

The suspension as standard is also pretty shockingly...shit

brakes are nothing amazing either as standard.

Just my lil bit of info

agreed they are lush cars i read on a few starlet forums that they are pissed that they are becomming cheap in price because they are being bought up by charva's according to bonnie theyre are alot of them driving around bristol with burberry hats which is totally unfortunate! and sucks because they are cool cars! i expect every car has an amount of charva owners though xxxx

i love these cars was planning to buy one intill my mate orderd the glanza v 2. he took a loan out for it around 4000 quid pritty smart intill three weeks later somone stole it and rote it off. insurance has only paid him 2500 quid out yet he still ows around 6000 quid loan lol, so hes been screwed. not bad loan for a car for three week
