I sprayed my grill posi blue, chevrons grey and lacquered them both. I did this on sunday, they are still not dry/hard.

I found this out the hard way by glueing the back of the grill to the front, i needed some weight to hold them together. I used a small book, spreading the weight of it. After 3 hours the book has caused indents in the paint on the grill and chevrons.

Gutted now as it was looking really good. It will still go on the car as it is but im shocked at how long its taking the paint to dry.

Anyone thats sprayed stuff before able to tell me how long i should have waited?

What did it say on your paint tin? 3 hours would be incredibility fast drying paint. You normally talking days not hours on paint.

i painted one of my vtr wheels and so far ive left it about 3 weeks to dry, will probably leave it another month, its nothing to do with me being lazy, honest! but seriously i would leave it a around a week specially if you going to be putting a lot of preasure on the paint.

Sorry should have made it clearer. Ive been doing it over 2 weeks leading up to last sunday, the last layer of lacquer was put on sunday.

I didnt rush it all in one day.

It was still not hardened by last night.
