..probably answered but i couldn't find a definate one..

on the mk2 grill it is all held on by screws...

-you remove the grill
-remove the plastic slots in the grill

but along the top there is solid bits of plastics where the screws hold it on? is it safe to remove any of these so the mesh isn't sitting behind it? or where abouts does the mesh sit?

Just play about with it, take it off and have a look for yourself, best way to learn, it goes over the black plastic bit where the chevron is atached, watched mine bein meshed a few ago smileys/smiley17.gif

i would suggest sitting behind it, and you need to put this in simo's worst bits threads....saying he needs more MK2 mods smileys/smiley2.gif

i cut all the slats out but cut around the brackets and screw holes and just put the mesh behind this.. you cant see them when the mesh gets put on.. will look fine smileys/smiley2.gif

This is an copy/paste from me from an old topic...

On the top of the grill i have cut the mesh the same shape as the grill, i drilled little holes (3mm) in the grille and used little blak tyraps to keep it in place.
I kept 4 screw holes on top and cut of the rest.
On the bottom of the grill i bent the mesh around the grill and glued it with spoiler glue.
When i put it back in its place i used the 4 screws on top and used tyraps for the bottom, trugh the old srew holes an the mesh (So you cant see them.)
And its on for months now and its still tight in place..
You also can use some extra spoilerglue to glue it tight to the hood....

(sorry for my lousy english... i'm a bit rusty... smileys/smiley9.gif )
