heyy all,

recently bought some vts wheel and was thinking about getting them refurbed.

now i have 2 choices,

1, i will spray them
2, get them poder coated professionally.

how much would i be expected to pay per wheel (have 5) for poder coated?

cheers lee.

EDIT : they will be going on my yellow GTi, see sig link

I was quoted £40 per wheel.

Thought that was quite a lot, but not had quotes from anywhere else yet!

my personal opion, either get them sprayed proffesionally as you cant get such a high gloss shine, like factory without renting all the equipment out & for the size of wheels would work out cheaper and easier to go to a pro. Or if you want durability powder coat.

I have yet to see a set of alloys that look better powder coated than sprayed, but depending on how you drive, ask yourself whic will look better in afew month?

i took some time off work to hammerite my wheels, looks good with red saxo but black should look even better on yellow 106 GTI

I sprayed mine 3x, the finish is never as good as powdercoat. I eventually had mine powdercoated gloss black.

Get yours done anthracite, Nana's look sick with anthracite VTS wheels!

gloss black gets my vote...

get it done profesionally imo...that way...you know your getting the WHOLE wheel sorted and not just the face...although people dont see behind the face...me being a perfectionist...i would always feel as though the wheels are unfinished....

yeah, if i am going to spray them myself i will spray all the wheel not just the face like some people do.
