Just got back from weekend away with the girlfriend and got to start getting my car back in shape. Car was filthy before i left, brakes have started squeeking for some reason and so has drivers side door and thought i know, when i get back, ill spend Monday giving the car a good clean and sorting out those annoying little jobs that are never got round too.
Then on the way there, I was on the motorway and the lorry in front kindly unloaded some of its load on my car. A huge stone hit my windscreen at god knows what speed and left a nasty dent! Now i gotta decide whether to go through insurance of pay for it myself. Not sure if it bumps my premium up or not.

If you're fully comp on your insurance you only need to pay a small windscreen excess and it doesnt affect your no-claims/premium etc with most

Or if not you can get the screen replaced for £100-150ish, like I have - 3 times...

its the front windscreen and it was as the lorry came off the motorway and i didnt manage to get his full reg quick enough as was trying to concentrate on where i was going at the same time.lol. hopefully the insurance will cover it but cant be without the car either cos need it for work so hopefully they can just come and fit it quite quickly too. jus made me jump well bad when it happended. kinda put a downer on first day of hols too. s*** happens though i spose

if insurance has windscreen cover they usually send someone like autoglass round to do it usually doesnt effect no claims and stuff either.
