My boyfriends neighbours relatives reversed into my car last night.
Noticed this morning....I was so very angry.
Hopefully it will be sorted soon.
Here are some pics.

Least it's just one panel, all you need is a new door? Or is it more than that
Hope they are paying

Gutted. Did they say anything or did you only find out because you saw them?

No cus it was late last night...But spoke to neighbour this morning and she had no idea about.
I'm hoping that they just hadnt noticed (It was on older man driving) And he will admit to it...
Either that or they ignored it and hoped that they'd get away with it.

Ouch, new door!
At least it was just the door. My mates Xr3 got the rear offside quarter dented in by a 4x4. not nice!

That's pants! They could've left a note or something (if they had noticed, although I don't know how you couldn't have...it's a big enough dent!) How annoying! :wall:

Exact same thing happened to me, replaced the door for £30 and got £800 compensation.

Have just spoke to neighbour...
Her Dad admits to reversing into my car...he thought he had hit the kurb...not my car.
There is red paint on his car to...so he admits its his fault.
The thing i've got to decide now is which way to do things...
1.Do we go through insurance...(but that could possibly mean a right off for me and he would lose his no claims).
2.He pay for all the repairs...which could be quite pricey so far the cheapest we've found for everything is £300 or there abouts. (however the man is 84 in a few weeks so he not have a lot of money).
3. Or as I was thinking of selling car next year...I leave it as is and get him to give me the difference i'd lose in selling it with a dented door.

new door painted is the easiest option - get one from scrappy
£200 at very most

Tried that...:)
All the local scrappy's don't have any saxo's in my colour.
But yeah it would be cheaper...
Just a case of finding one that close enough distance wise to. :)

If its an old fella, i wouldnt go taking the mickey like that.
Imagine if it was 1 of your grandparents, i know its inconvenient, but you have to make allowances.
Its easy to believe he genuinely believed it was the kerb if he was that old, more annoying if it was a younger person because they are blatantly trying to get away with it.

No offense, but old drivers are fucking useless. Thought he hit a kurb? Can he not see a car out his back window? Honestly, would make him pay £300 to get it done properly at a garage, or take it through insurance.
Have no sympathy for people like that at all, if they have problems seeing because of their age, they shouldn't be on the road, full stop.
Also don't go for your option #3. Because you won't know how much you could of had for it minus the dented door, then there's a chance that will cause arguments between you both. So get it sorted out ASAP :y:

Easy fairly cheap fix. Mates girlfriend did this to mine 2 years ago, had £50 off them to this day... both knobs. Note chavvy wheels and side repeaters :y:

end of the day this is why we all pay our insurance, don't think your insurance company will rite your car off for a door, maybe a bit harsh but old or not claim off him best and safest way of getting your car done
