5th avenue is were its at lol full of student fanny and also pure in printworks. manchester is a big city and its not like you can go from pub to pub in a matter of minuets unless you go to place like printworks or gay village lol but it depends what music your into as said above

got back last night, was staying with the girlfriend whos just gone to uni.
we went out and there was about 15 of us, kept gettin lost! ended up walkin around lookin for 42nd street and i noticed these multi coloured flags on all the bars, i reckon youd enjoy it there just look for the flags!

depends what you like really, manchester is a funny one it doesn't really have its own "sound" like other citys do. So you have it all on a not so grand scale (appart from warehouse project which incodently is on the saturday).

If you like commercial cheese on toast stuff like cascada and bass hunters (I feel sorry for anyone that does :P) then you have the likes of Pure etc...

Indy stuff or a proper beer night and imo the easiest place to pull in manchester 42's / 5th avenue not really my type of music but are cheap... 42's is 2.50 for dbl v redbull!

On the non commercial side of EDM you've got - Warehouse, Sankeys, Area 51, The Attic, The phoenix (but im not to sure what goes on on saturdays.. may be locked I cant remember if it was the end or the start of the month)

If you want just some bars - northen quarter and you've got the deans gate locks.

Imo print works are aload of tosh, over priced full of fat scallys and sted heads stay clear tbh!

TBH - 30 miles down the road and you've got a better night out, go to liverpool ! plus if you like house circus bday is on! cracking lineup!

Deansgate Locks is decent for before the clubs. Think there's one near by called Anthisan (not sure, someone will have to correct me?) thats meant to be decent but we didn't make it there as too hammered by 2/3am....
