Didn't you think it was a "slight" co-incidence that most were singing the same song?

Have you not thought that they were probably given a list of songs to choose from and sing? ;)

no because i watch it each week and never thought the same 3 songs were used over and over again, if you were listening to people over and over again all day would you select the same songs for people to sing? it would drive you crazy!

I watch it every week too mate. They've only started singing the same songs after being put through to the next round (i.e. boot camp). Like they did tonight (which Simon said), they had a choice of songs for tonight in which they have 24 hours to learn and perform. I think this was pretty much the same lastnight because having a select list of songs, the judges can compare how that person delivers that song compared to somebody else rather than that other person having their OWN song choice, which they may know like the back of their hand.

Like I said before, I think it must have been pure co-incidence that the same song was being sung lastnight by different people IF they weren't given a list to choose from.

Well, that's what I think anyway.

I know. Just goes to show what the pressure can do to you. Even though some had bottled it and thought it was the end of the road for them, they were still put through. The judges know those people are capable of more so they will give them another chance.

But even with tonights cock-up's... the quality of singers this year compared to last year is outstanding. I do not remember them being this good last year. Just hope that the winner will do more than just releasing a Christmas number 1 and then vanishing into thin air (i.e. Leon).

i always find that your posts come across like your stuck up. Why are you explaining to me that they have a list of songs to perform and 24 hours to learn, i had already put that about 5 posts earlier.

Last night was just auditions wasnt it? like you said they have there OWN songs which they know, which is why i said that the same songs kept cropping up, and you suggested that its because they have a list of songs to perform?

altho ive watched it most weeks, i dont really listen to what they have to do or sing, i just watch for cheryl and the odd cheeky girl band

Last nights was Boot Camp also and Yes they are given a list of songs to choose from (Both on Saturday and Sunday Nights shows).

The standard this year is outrageous... any of the girls could win it, also any of lads, and the one girl in the over 25's (Rachel..? the gobby one) and I think the groups are quite weak.

shows how much attention i pay, but i still dont think they had a list of songs on the sat night, there was a wide range other than them 3
