quinn seem to be a league ahead as far as insurance goes on all of the compare sites, so is it a quinn or no one job whilst your young? i would of tried chris knott but im looking at insurance for a car i dont own yet so ill try the ringing around when i know i actually own the car, just looking online atm really for the ease of getting a quote..

secondly its my birthday in a month and a bit and i turn 20... if i put in on quinn that im a month older it seems to knock 200 quid off! would it be worth ringing them up so they could try and meet me in the middle on that one, cause im half tempted to just wait till November to save 200 quid!

thanks for any help.

suppose i should add quinn gave me a quote for 1285... beat able?

o and trying as many cars as i could be bothered to do ranging from 1l-1.6 there is a very tiny difference in the insurance, with the 1 litres i got quotes still above the 1k mark.. is insurance below the 1k mark not possible? i no on a vtr it wouldnt but im only really looking at the vtr for the simple fact its 200 quid more insurance for me than a 1.1 saxo...

scrap that did bell again and if i put dad on aswell as mum as additional drivers my own policy... 1220 with 30 quid for drive anyone elses car... with 3 other cars in the house that could be handy when pettys low

but also using the same quote i checked a 1.1 saxo .... 1060.... so 160 quid more and i can drive a vtr....

I'm 19 and pay £800 and something (cba checking exactly lol) on a vtr with no ncb, thats with my dad on the policy. I went from a 1.1 106 this year and they only wanted an extra £150.

Vtr's arnt that high insurance really, you just have to go out there and look, interent search engines dont work for everyone, ring around, talk to them, look for companys that might not have a big budget like in the back of car magazines. :D

be careful with Quinn..

there are stoys of people having policies with them on provisional licenses and then when they pass, adding another 1k to the premium

also ive heard a couple of times, because they are an irish registered company, if the rozzers get behond you, your insurance details wont come up on their database... i mean they phone through or you get a 7 day wonder, and its all good, but still...

ive just turned 19 and bought me first car a VTR...... 0 ncb and the best i cud get is £1700 tpft with arian flux........

bad but worth it....
when thinking about getting my first car it made all the sense in the world to buy a 1.1 or a 1.25 fiesta but you cant put a price on passion.

Im nearly 20, but with my points a VTS is unattainable at the minute! Going to have to wait :-/

im 17 and have a vts which is insured in my mums name and its only costing me £1650. i phoned quinn direct up and explained that the car was brought in northern ireland. so they gave me a quote for 1550 so i triple checked saying V for victor, t for teddy and so on, they still said the same. i then told them it had a turbo and it omly added £100 on. am i missing something or does this seem really cheap:clapping :panic:

your missing the fact its ur mums policy not yours which is illegal and called fronting, basically meaning your insurance could be void at the point of claim if they catch on...

other than that no you didnt miss anything :P

It would be worthwhile to see how much your price goes up once you are on a full UK liscence, all companies will raise the price tho once u have passed fully cause you will be a high risk driver and out on your own without and experienced driver with you
