If this happens what do you think is best to do???

Sell rally car and buy a kart and start racing that properly or.......

Keep rally car and wait for the year ban then retake test and start rallying then??

Im unsure as it would piss me off to leave rally car doing nothing for a year when i could be kart racing!!

Also i would wait a while and retake my test well after ban is up and probs get an rs125 on just a cbt for getting around.

I fucked up tbh and hope i dont get banned but will make sure i enjoy my life as much when i am banned!!!

You're getting banned.

From previous threads:

"Dangerous Driving in a Courtesy Car"

Case moved from Magistrates to Crown Court

If you are banned.
I dont think racing is the best hobby to be undertaking.

You have/had the opportunity to keep it all on the track but taking it on the road is just ghey.

Thats my opinion.
All im going by is the statements said in the other two threads.

He only ripped his handbrake up a few times in weston in a hire car lol but the idiot didnt see the old bill behind him lmao! Tbh marky they can't do alot wheres the proof??

The evidence will be from the police officiers from the car behind

Rem it wasnt taking racing on the road it was a simple 2 min piss around and i was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Just because i messed about doesnt mean im not safe to undergo racing lol

Sell the car.

Insurance will probably be too high after you get your licence back (if you get banned).

Also rem his evidence means nothing to the fact it was dark and he was 3 cars behind he has no video evidence or nothing. But i have witnesses.

He cant prove that the handbrake wasnt dodgy and not releasing correctly.

Best case you can sue for wasting your time and stress

if not, continue rally, just get someone to trailer your car there

It will always get trailored to events mate and yes you need a licence unfortunately or this thread wouldnt exist, i dont care about losing my road licence as im not mad about road cars anymore with increasing speed cameras etc.

Been there done all that had like 30 fast road cars but my concern is being stopped from rallying.

Marcos

say you need licence for career, like people get away with speeding for the job

True will just wait until the day see what happens but by me electing crown court that in itself may get the case dismissed by cps if they have insufficent evidence, plus it could take 12 months to goto crown.

Depends on what you are doing.....

Single venue no, but on multi venue events you need road traffic insurace, generally covered by the event on a premium, or through Comp Car Insurance or whoever.

Also on one of the Cotswold Tarmac rounds a few years ago, you had to drive down the main road to another venue for scrutineering..

General rule of thumb on single venue is, MOT but no tax/insurance required...

Take it dad will be towing it there?

Also unsure of if having no/banned license, you will be able to take your BARS test? Needs looking into matey... Sorry to pee on your BBQ

If you do i would sell the rally car and build your own with the money your saving from motoring.

Mark, just found this on the MSA website......

Minimum Requirements

* The Driver must be at least 17 years old and must hold a valid Road Traffic Driving Licence. Before you can apply for your first Stage Rally Driver Licence.

But also found this.....

The Stage Rally National B Licence may be issued, without other qualification, to any of the following:

1. Anyone who held a Non-Race National B Competition Licence prior to 31st December 2001.

2. Anyone who held any MSA Competition Licence which was valid for driving in Stage Rallies prior to 31st December 2001. This category comprises all Race, Kart, Speed, Drag and Rally Licences (each of which has always been valid as a Non-Race National B). Evidence of having driven on a Stage Rally is not required.

Did you used to do karting? Did you have a license?

May be a way around the BARS test.....

i was going the oposite direction to police, she said i was speeding, me and 3 mates said i wasnt... it was at 2AM, i got 5 points and 300 quid fine.

Your word means nothing against theres, the courts look at it as, the police have no reason to lie, you do

I will just hold all of it back for a year dude, take the bars test after the year ban if i get it, just do sprints and hillclimbs throughout year as you just need a non race nat b licence which doesnt require a road licence.

Cheers for help ie. rally licence i was karting in around 2004 do wont count.

I have spoke to one of the best driving barristors there are in uk and he charges mad money like £1500-2k an hour, he said they need evidence, which any mug knows that.

Also dont know why you didnt go to court and say prove my speed as ive never heard such a weak case like that before, why is there speed camera etc??? if it was just there word why dont they stand on the side of the road and say yep he is speeding so is he etc.......

Evidence video or photographic is required or if they were following you they would need to use there speedo to average speed check you.

Shift karts is a crap class used to race tkm so no alot about it all, most tracks wont allow gearbox karts.

Yes you need a drivers licence to rally but i doubt i will even get anything at all from this but just thinking both sides.

If your found guilty this is the point.

When the case goes back to cps for them to prep it for crown court i bet they back out as they no im going to fight it plus it will cost them around 10k lol

They just like peeps to go there and give them an easy run and plead guilty
