Hi Guys,

I was just wandering if anyone had a tutorial kind of thing of installing a 1.6 saxo engine into a 1.1. My friend is a mechanic and he said that putting a 1.6 furio engine in would be quicker than the VTR? (I dont want a VTS). Is this true can anyone help me on this quest to build a mean machine??

Thanks Joe

As a VTR can stick with a VTS till 3rd / 4th, meaning a furio will do the same? but infact give the VTS more run for its money?

pretty bold statement tbh, every furio with slight mods that came against my VTR which always seemed slower then all other VTR's i played with i pissed all over it.

when you say keep up with infact you mean its a few car lengths behind?

Same drivers in same car's guarentee the furio wont be close to the VTR.

Wouldnt say the furios slow, but all the way through the gears in a straight a VTR would win everytime.

A few mods doesnt add more then 20bhp to match a VTR it may be close but wont beat one unless the lad in the VTR realy Cant Drive.

an unmodded vtr btw. Ive raced a quite a few vtr's and beat them, aswell as the mk2's. Just going from my own personal experience.

and only up to about 80ish where a mk2 started to pull away quite considerably!

cant argue with personal experience, would say a westie on the ball could beat a vtr off the line but by 3rd VTR will pull away. same as VTR / VTS situation i guess.

yeh, that would make what i said true about the vtr pulling away at 3rd.

Westies are only 15bhp behind the mk1 vtr's and with a few mods, such as what i got, it makes it beliveable i guess. Mine was rolling roaded before anymods, totally stock apart from an open K&N and a backbox, as if they make much difference, and it was 79.8bhp

since then done the mods in my sig, sooo dunno what its running now.
