low budget tbh.

as always i'll recommend dell - http://www1.euro.dell.com/content/products/category.aspx/laptop_studio?c=uk&cs=ukdhs1&l=en&s=dhs

phone them up and haggle.

yeah but a mate split hot coffee over it and it toasted itself... still works... just I cant use the keyboard... and the screen has a contrast ratio of 1:2 i.e. shit for all my photographic mumbo jumbo.

Funnily enough this model popped up in my short list (basically a rip off from that magazine PC Pro)... but the 17" is just too big for me tbh man

get a 15" dell vostro from the business section make sure you get the one with the 8600m graphics chip in(some you might need to select the upgrade, on the customise page but if you dont want the OS ring them up and ask for it in then)... its a dedicated graphics processor unlike the onboard crap you usually get.... will give you more tweeking with your display, and dell usually give ok screens?

vostro's give you more for your money just make out your a business/starting a business they probably wont even ask!
