My good deed for the day...

My Grandad's birthday present, he's getting on now, lives on his own, unable to get out much etc has rubbish eyesight but loves watching the footy on his crap small tv.

So I bought him a nice big flatscreen to watch the footy on for his birthday present. He goes down the Legion to meet his buddies at 12:30, so we had 2 hours to get the TV down there, set up and cut away part of his shelving unit to fit it as its that much bigger. It was a bit of a rush but we got it done.

He got back and I had the snooker on ready for him, only after he sat down he noticed the tv... I said 'thats your birthday present', he started crying bless him saying he was really chuffed and over the moon that made my eyes water like fuck then, never seen him so happy.

Was also a bit angry that none of my Dad's side of the family had thought of this sooner. But it was worth every penny I spent on it and its made us both happy.
