How about...
(Select cell) => Format => Cells => (Number tab) => Text
You have to set the cells format before entering the information.

Well i am doing an accounts degree, but this essay is about analysing quantitive data.
have to analyse things using farious correlation techniques, but it all has to be done using formulas instead of worked out in my head, hence why i have to print it twich showing formula and answers :y:

ohh its really not inteeresting in the slightest!
Its made up data about how much students spend on food and drink.
then i have to work out using correlation techiques such as Pearsons's correlation coefficient r, and Spearman rank correlation coefficient if they are in any way related.
yawn.
