replacing gear knob

hi

i have a mk1 1996 1.1 saxo and i was at the local scappy yestrday and found a leather gear linkage cover so when i got back to the car i cut off the old rubbery thing and put the leather one on, but now i have a knob that is a great eye sore does anyone know how to get the damn thing off?

lol, mine needs replacing aswell, looks like there stuck on! damn things!

pull turn if that dont work heat it up slightly get some soapy water :y: mine pulled off after a right fight with it

mine came off fine on mine just gave it a pull n a twist

put it in 4th and yank

like said above put in 4th sit in back seat in middle and whack the head off it ;)
