mk1 or mk2

hi guys
i have a w reg 1.1 saxo with the new front end shape with front fog lights. is this mk1 or mk2 and how do u know the difference other than the older shape

Easiest way of telling is that Mk1's have square lights and Mk2's have rounder ones
I think yours would be mk2.

Edit: soz read it propperly, mk2's were made 2000+ iirc

and i think the grill on the mk2 is in the bonnet, and also mk2's were made from 2000

as said the lights are the easiest way to tell
