Has anyone noticed Motorworld stores closing where they live? I ask because my local 1`s gone bust.

Yes i think they are a rip off tbh and dont have all that much! i went in for some of them bluey white light bulbs and they said 25quid for 2 so i went motor factor place and got um for 6quid for 2!!! :)

i used to work there a couple of years ago motorworld was far better thann halfords round by me due to the muppets that worked at halfords lol shame its gone bust if it has lets hope they have a closing down sale

They have officially gone into receivership. Although some stores have remained open to sell off remaining stock

Went into town today and noticed the one there has been closed, big posters saying massive reductions but looks like thats a few weeks old as the whole shops been gutted, noticed a few sat navs laying on the floor with aload of other junk, never liked it in there anyway...

one in chelmsford has gone aswel never had a closing down sale.

They have gone Bust. 93 Stores got shut down and thats it now, some are staying open as they have been brought out my a company called Pecific.

Only know this as i work next to motorworld and my mates work there.

motor world near me is still open and they have a 70% sale on all audio equipment, might pop in and see if theres anything worth getting as my sound system is completey standard atm :(

Ive never been past one for a while so i havent noticed but a friend of mine works at 1 in newcastle and he said every month they are always down thousands of pounds cause of people nicking things as they dont have cameras in their shops

yes!! the one in newbury where i live did last week...its only been open for bwt 2-3 weeks coz it got gutted by fire!!

not surprised !! motorworld in wigan is the same size of one shelf in halfrauds , and sell the same stuff

News... apparently they have just got rid of some shops around the country and are not closing altogether so my mate tells me

Company who owns em went into administration, so sold to a sister company.

Most stores have shut, and I believe some are staying open.
