Then had newman phase 3 cams fitted and sent it down to wayne at chip wizards

well thats about it so far like, chris at manic motors has done near enough everything on the car and cant fault his work wot so ever. always has it done on time and the standard of work is excellent.

the spec of the car atm is

Lowered -60mm on spax springs
Wheels repainted a custom gun metal grey

421 S/S manifold
Supersprint S/S strait through center section
Piper 4" S/S Backbox

Green cotton airfilter in carbon fiber scoop thingy
Newman phase 3 cams
Remapped at chipwizards

Fixed suade bucket seats
3" 3 point harnesses


Mods to follow are

Quickshift ( on order )
Carbon fiber door cards
Half Roll Cage
Uprated disks + Pads and briaded lines.
Powercoated alloys with toyo proxes

possibly a uprated clutch and new steering wheel.

Then itll be ready for track. Comments welcome...

had a scare before work with engine management but a quick trip to manic motors and all was well.... but looks like im going to need a new coilpack in the very near future.

well i origionally put interior and back seats back in with subs so it was a bit more sociable when taking passengers... but since stripping it i dont think ill be going back.

definatly tell the weight difference with all interior and subs out... its a fuckin rocket now.

definatly a noticable difference now but ive took everything out, carpet door cards sound proofing etc....

and as for the back end twitching i havent had a chance to test it as the roads are wet round my end and i have uber shite tires on the front so i just understeer everywhere lol

its easy to take everything out and doesnt take to long if you want to put it back in but i would say the road noise once stripped makes your ears bleed lol.

Gave my car a good wash and a clay... I changed the bonnet a few weeks ago and it looks like the car i took it off had never had a wash in its life.

Cleaned up the arches before I fitted the new wheels... Washed, degreased and washed again... painted up any rusty bits and went over my calipers again.

last couple of month its been down on power, had it on the rollers to try n find the problem with no avail. cam timing seems fine fuel map etc all looks good.... pressure test was fine, going to have to try n get it sent down to wayne at chipwizards to investigate.

it only made 132.7 bhp on the rollers today with 120 lbs of torque.

i was origionally quoted 40 quid a wheel... but then he said 150 plus vat.

worth every penny like the finish is unreal, polished them up the other day and the shine on them is amazing.

Finally got through to wayne at chipwizards so going to arrange a day for it to go down and get checked over find out were my horsepower went lol.

Cleaned up the exhaust :

Stripped everything apart from the dash :

Then put the carpet back in... I done this because ive found that if its raining and your feet are wet the water that gets in the footwells when you have no carpet doesnt dry out and starts rusting the floor.

this was the biggest ball ache ive had to do so far... had to drop the exhaust, remove all the heatshields.... out of the 8 bolts holding them up every one of them was rusted solid and snapped. but after about 2 hours i finally got it fitted.
