Car Body Filler???

Hi guys,

Just a question. Can you get a kind of body filler?? I want to take off my black boarder side thing, that has the VTR badge on it.

And i want to filler it and then smooth it.

Anyone know of a product??

theres lots of types of body filler, but y on earth would your want to do that?

yeh theres loads of different fillers as far as im aware but dont really have a clue about them.

I take it its so it looks smooth?

It isnt a good idea to use filler, if you want to remove it the best way to do it will be cut the gap and weld a flush plate and then smooth and filler. The "Just" filler method is dodgy as it can just fall out. Litteraly

Filler by itself just falls out (as i have experienced in the past with my car)like grantsmith1985 says u need to weld a plate behind it...but i wudnt suggest doing it by urself as its extremely hard work and requires special skills

yea too true mate even though its no where near the same size you need to do the same as when your smoothing your boot, even if it dont pop off in time it will start showing where the filler moves

if your confident though mate then have a go, but remember not to weld up to the same level as you will need to put filler on top of it
