anybody know where i can source some fat steels for my saxo? i want it to look like its fast and thats it, no frills.

my mate was talking about this, its a shame its not a little cheeper seeing as if i spend that much i may as well get some cheepy deep dish off something. but i suppose you pay for the novelty as well as the precision. they do look tasty... coooor

you could look at weller wheels. keep and eye out on ebay as they sometimes go cheap.
you can get some with a deep dish on them.

ebay member ''northwestrscenter'' will band any steel wheels upto 3 inches wider on a lathe for £120! bargain, exactly the same as that wide wheels place just without the stupid price tag!

BUT if you have some 3 stud steel wheels (i.e. the standard steel wheels that come on 3 stud saxo's) you could get than 'banded'. that is where they weld in a strip of metal to make the wheel wider.
i think they offer to widen them from 1 inch to 3 inches.
would be awesome on a 3 stud saxo as you cant really get many good stud alloys. not euro style ones anyway.

fat as in nice looking? phat? put some c5 steelies on or a set of 106 rallye wheels they would look smart refurbed in gloss white

i'm at uni and have just resprayed my car :cool:
£120 isnt a lot to get them banded
