In two minds whether I like it or not. I look at some pics and think "omg it's lush". Then look at others and think that it looks like you've put a VT* kit on and are waiting for it to be resprayed...
To be fair it's a lot better than my car so who am I to judge. Fair play mate, can't wait to see it finished.
MrHouston

MrHouston
16th October 2008, 11:01
Had the wheels off to fit the skirts earlier in the day, got to about 11pm and i went to see if all the bonding was set and everything was secure, it was
So took all the maskin tape off
Decided to meet a few people down the local car park =\
So off I went all made up about how my new car looks! Got round the corner and I heard like somehtign metal fall off, so I stopped and looked right the way round the car and underneath, couldn't see anything so carried on
Got to a mini roundabout 2 mins down the road and my steering went funny so stopp ed the car on the roundabout, hazrads on and looked round the car and under it again, still couldn't see nothing.
30 seconds later of driving the whole car shaked and the left hand side dropped down and I lost all steering with lots of loud noises!
Got out, my front wheel is hanging off! All my wheel bolts had fell out along the way, so so lucky the wheel didn't fall off, it was litrally hanging on where the spacers go, one false move and that was bye bye front end of the car
So got recovery out, found 2 bolts on the road near me so put them on and put it on the back of the truck.

16th October 2008, 16:34
School boy error ;). I always check mine twice when I put my wheels back on just incase. Lucky that mate, as you say, front end of the car would be pretty wrecked really, especially the bumper.
Check that the wheel isn't buckled to mate as it could have done damage if it was just 'hanging' off. I'd also check the hub, strut and shaft too just incase.
