there are a few people on here who are having their cars lowered.

i would like to say that if you are willing to travel to hartley wintney, hampshire, you can have your car lowered for...

£100 + VAT (£117.50)

al_VTR/grantsmith1985... you both live about 100 miles away. so, if you say 200 miles round trip which will be no more than £20 in petrol and so you are looking at £137.50 to have your car lowered.

definitely worth the money in my opinion smileys/smiley20.gif

Definitely is consedering R-tech and and Xtreme both want over £250 to fit and install the Spax PSX kit that John2Modified has up for offer, and they do it the dodgy way with notches.

the price i gave was for a very good company local to me who have lowered two of my saxo's. they did the lowering on my vts.

just in case people do ask, that price is for lowering only. springs and suspension kits are on top of that. if there are certain parts of the car (i.e. drop links) that need replacing while the car is being lowered, then that of course will be extra.

£100 is about the right sort of price, i've had quotes from alot of garages in my area, and they all quoted within £20 of each other ranging from 100 to 120.

£25 a corner was the common phrase.

sorry to suggest something oz, but i think we could create a list of companies who carry out this kind of work for reasonable prices. i think this may have already been suggested.

the company i use charge £40 for the front and £60 for the rear.

what if the torsion bar is being a bitch?????

do they want extra cause some companies do

the company i went to had a few problems with the torsion bar but they quoted me and that is the price they worked to.

like i said, if drop links or any other parts need to be replaced, then that is obviously extra.

i would be tempted mate but the company round here quoted 170 all in. all work included, using PI springs

need to get it lowered but can't afford to pay over the top for springs at the moment

al... you can get it done down this way for £117.50 plus petrol, which will be about £20 max. so you would only be looking at below £140. a saving of £30, which can be used on a full tank of a petrol smileys/smiley2.gif

i thought the £117.50 didn't include for the springs tho mate ?

ohhh, so you are basically getting the actual lowering done for around £120!?!

edit:- how are they lowering it? by notches?

pretty much yeah - i've looked into the PI springs and they're usually about £40 or just over so i'll be paying £120-130 for the actual lowering

EDIT: not sure mate - i'll ask the question
