At the minute I have got a 6230i which has been totally 100% reliable, except last few days I have tried sending MMS and it won't do it - just saves it in the outbox - GPRS is turned on too but still nothing. Few hours later it will just come up with - Message Sending Failed

I have downloaded the settings from O2 again, saved them and received a message to say it's all setup fine etc but still not receiving anything.

Ideas?

Rep for answers :)

Read above Amiee ;)

Downloaded them again this morning, saved them and then received a text to say it was all setup - but it isn't.

Think it could be a phone call to O2.

Yes, it's contract.

Go into your settings > MMS settings and tell me what you have set.

Mine is set to postpay.

Well on the 02 Site, you type in your phone number which I did and then it said.

Is this phone a Nokia 6230i?

Yes
No?

So I clicked yes! But come to think of it, I bought this phone originally on PAYG but I have received/sent MMS on this recently whilst having my 02 Contract Sim in it.

Fixed it, I think.

GPRS settings were not set on O2, but I haven't changed them either.

i work for a phone shop mate, few things you can do either go onto the nokia website or your newtwork providers and send the mms settings back out to your self 2 second job thwn tuen your phone on and off and it should work or ring up your networks customer services and get them to send them that way

Could of been that you hadn't updated on the network

All you would have too do is search for another network, then do it again and select o2 or a hard reboot where you take the battery and sim out then put the battery back in and turn phone on,then take it back out and put the sim and battery back in and turn it on

I must tell about 10 people a day to do this

The GPRS had been turned off completely, not sure how though.
