steaming up

just brought my first ever car a citroen saxo x 1.1i 1998
but as i found out to day when it rains the windows steam up and i cant see a thing

how can i stop this when it happens again

plz help

Hi mate, welcome to Sax-P.

Set the Heater to Hot, and the slide it to Windscreen setting, Turn up the fans and problem solved.

Should be both of the Sliders to the right i believe.

If its in the rain you want to use warm/hot air, close all the vents in the car and switch the slider to the windshield setting (which as was mentioned is on the right in the saxo).

The mist is moisture on the inside of the window, so what your trying to do it to dry it out, and thus hot air is best to dry it. Incidently if your driving a car with aircon, the air it pushes around the car is dehumidified and will clear the screen much quicker :y:

If its ice/frost you need hot air both to defrost the ice & to clear the moisture from the inside of the glass.

You might also have a button to heat the rear window too so you can see behind you ;)
