right side tail light and dashboard light not working

yes im a noob, but the rear left light on my saxo isnt working, and my dashboard lights aint working, i think these two problems are linked as they happend at the same time! anyone know what i can do to fix them, i was adviced to change the light plate, dont that and still not working, many thanks , daz

but wouldnt both tail lights be on the same fuse?

oh yeah....hmmmm? (sorry blond moment there lol)ive got the same problem too.... but mines the drivers side thats not working........ but my dash is fine..... i was even thinking of buying a new bulb holder thing and replacing that ?

i did that, but it still doesnt work, hhmmm anyone know what to do?
