Hey, my saxo VTR makes this horrible squeeling/crunching noise whilst its idle,in, ive been told its the clutch release valve because when the clutch is depressed it dissapears.
I was wondering how to fix this problem without taking the clutch out and fitting a new valve?
Any help would be great
Thanks.

Clutch release bearing is what you are after.
Unfortunately the gearbox will have to come off to replace this, but it is highly recommended the replace as a whole clutch kit rather than just the release bearing.
A valeo oe clutch kit is about £100 then obviously the labour on top of that unless you are doing the job yourself.

Thats the kit you want, which is only £50. But garages will get it even cheeper so its best to go and ask how much with kit and how much just for labour, i worked out that garages can get the kit for around £30.
You might aswel replace the whole clutch as said.
Theres not alot you can do to stop it from whinning unfortunatly.

clutch release bearing knackered.
gotta get a new one to stop the noise.
probably better to do it sooner rather than later or the bearing might explode (worst case) :panic:
as said above its reccommended to get a full clutch kit.
